Letter from the Chapter

To Potential New Members...

Dear Potential New Members,

In the fall of 2017, I ran home to Sigma Kappa. The past few years have been nothing short of an amazing experience. I have met many incredibly amazing women that have not only become my sisters, but also my family. Sigma Kappa has made my college experience one that I will never forget. From sisterhood retreats, to weekly chapter meetings, to our annual Founder’s Day celebration, we all come together to form the never ending, unexplainable, thing that is the mystic bond.

Not only has Sigma Kappa given me a home away from home, but also never-ending opportunity for personal growth. I have attended two Regional Leadership Conferences for Sigma Kappa as well as held both cabinet and council positions within our chapter, however, opportunity does not end after college graduation. There are many positions that alumnae can hold both within Sigma Kappa National Headquarters and the various alumnae chapters. With a little over 172,000 initiates, the possibilities within Sigma Kappa are endless. It truly is not just four years, but for life.

If you are hesitant about joining a sorority, whether it be through formal or informal recruitment, my advice to you is to simply sign up and take that first step. You never know what you might find unless you try. If you decide to go through recruitment, I can promise you that each and every one of us are so very excited to meet you and help you find your very own home away from home.

Love in Sigma Kappa,

Mikiyah McCulley (Fall 2017)
